Chris Weidman says Tyron Woodley’s legacy is ‘tarnished’ following assist-to-assist losses to Jake Paul

Ouch, even Chris Weidman is embarrassed for Tyron Woodley.

Whereas discussing Jake Paul’s KO of Woodley on Weidman’s “Received’t Attend Down” podcast he had some harsh phrases for the worn UFC champion.

“Rattling, Tyron Woodley is going to have to reside with that,” he said. “They’re right comparing him to Ben Askren now. He’s no longer going to accept one more chance – love, that’s it. I don’t know who he’s going to strive in opposition to that can maybe maybe give him the plot and pleasure that he would favor to raise him assist to where he would feel love of us regain slack him and assume he’s legit again. I guess his legacy has no doubt been tarnished, which sucks to remark.”

Double ouch.

As for Paul, Weidman has some solutions for his subsequent opponent. And it’s a particular person he knows effectively.

“I would love to explore him strive in opposition to Anderson Silva,” Weidman said. “He’s calling out all these opponents with UFC contracts. I don’t assume he’s in actuality – none of those are in actuality going to happen at this point. The UFC would have to accept slack it nearly love a Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather form match. But unless you’re drawing in $500 million love the Mayweather and Conor McGregor fights had been doing, the UFC’s no longer doing that due to they prefer to interrupt up it. They’d spoil up it, but when it’s no longer that form of cash, they’re no longer doing it. So (we’re) wasting our time even speaking about (Nate) Diaz, (Jorge) Masvidal and (Kamaru) Usman.”

At press time neither Woodley or Paul indulge in booked their subsequent fights.
